Oral Interpretation

Home  \  Co-Curricular  \  Oral Interpretation
Oral Interpretation is a wonderful way for your child to practice their DRAMA skills, READING skills, and MEMORIZATION skills while having FUN.  Through recital and choreography we perform a selected poem, passage, or skit.  We compete against other Clovis Unified Schools while we reach for a SUPERIOR score from the judges.

Grades 3rd-6th may try out to be a part of the OI Team. Those making the team have Winter Break to memorize the selected piece and must be prepared for practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.  Attendance is required, but there is one make up practice on Fridays before school.  If you participate in other sports, cheer, clubs, or activities you can attend one of the after school practices then attend the make ups on Friday before school at 7:45.  But attendance twice a week is required to remain on the OI team.
